Armindo Bruma bust onto the scene as a youngster at Sporting Lisbon’s famed academy which also produced the likes of Luis Nani and of course Cristiano Ronaldo. He starred for Portugal’s youth sides and was linked to Europes biggest teams.
A flying winger with electric pace, power and an eye for goal it was easy to see why he was attracting so much attention.
In the end, Turkish giants Galatasaray won the race for the coveted wide man but a bad injury early on in his Turkish adventure meant his progress has stalled. However he is no back fully fit and has had an outstanding pre-season at Galatasaray which included a great goal against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side in a pre season friendly. Jose Mourinho contacted Bruma after the game and said he would be keeping an eye on his performances this season.
Currently sitting at a 85 rated, a good season at Galatasaray may see him upgraded to 87-88 by the end of the season. A call up to the Senior Portuguese national side would also he his rating increase.
