Ousmane Dembele exploded onto the scene last season for Rennes in the French Ligue 1. He scored 12 league goals in only 22 starts and has been likened to Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and French compatriot Franck Ribery. This is thanks to his quick feet, ability to shoot off either foot and his ability to score goals.
His rating stood at 76 on 14th February 2016 and by 11th May he had increased by an incredible +9 to 85 at the tender age of 18.
He stunning form led to him being linked with Europes biggest clubs including Man United, Barcelona and Real Madrid. However it was Borussia Dortmund that won the race for his signature when they signed him for €15 million and awarded him their number 7 shirt. He scored an excellent goal in pre-season against Manchester United in China and has continued this form into the 2015/16 Bundesliga season.
He has been a regular starter for Dortmund so his rating will continue to rise for an impressive Dortmund side this season. He also made his debut for the French national team in September which is always good when it comes to rating increases for players. This is particularly key when considering it’s for a French side literally overflowing with top attacking talent.
